I’ve never done a review but these guys deserve it! Jason and the front desk lady are amazing people they are honest and friendly people they went above and beyond, I came in needing my transmission looked on my Ram 2500 Cummins and they fixed it no problem, these people lived up to their expectations, Quality over Quantity!! I For sure recommend these people to anyone out there needing stuff done to there trucks whether it’s maintenance, repairs or upgrades these are the people to come to! They treat their customers as family! If I could give them a 10 star I would! They for sure got themselves a customer that will be returning soon for upgraded parts! They are great professionals and do an awesome job! Big thanks to Jason, The mechanics and front desk, great work! And again ‼️RECOMMENDED‼️

I know this this the best place we have had our truck in any shop. They have done everything that we have asked them to do. The work they have done for us was clean with no hanging loose wire. While servicing our rear differential in our F350 they seen the gears noticed that the differential gears had irregular pattern on them and sent me pictures so I knew for my own eyes. They answered all our questions and I know they had to get tired hearing our calls but they answered them.

I am certainly glad I found this Shop, Jason, Brandon, Dustin and Amanda are amazing people. I took my truck in for repairs, and I told Jason that I wanted it checked out from front to back and top to bottom and everything fixed and that's exactly what he did, I was always informed of what was going on with it over there! I had a choice whether or not to buy a new truck or invest in repairing mine and after talking with a couple of my friends that buy a new truck every two years the choice was simple to me. After asking Jason every question in the book, he delivered an answer that made me comfortable with moving forward.... To anyone else over there that put your hands on my truck all I can say is thanks to you too. TOP NOTCH FIRST CLASS THESE FOLKS KNOW THEIR STUFF!!!!!!!!!

The professionalism and performance at Hale's Diesel is unmatched and I am beyond satisfied with the service received. The personnel are most friendly and knowledgeable. I had taken my truck to two separate mechanics and they both claimed it was just one thing. When I took my vehicle here, the diagnostic performed was so thorough, I couldn't believe the attention to detail placed! They were even kind enough to send me a report with the deficiencies on my truck which was extremely helpful. I've never seen a shop do that for customers. I recommend Hale's Diesel to anyone dealing with vehicular issues. They're great craftsman and I truly appreciate the work done!

I was in a bind on a cross country road trip and this place really turned the tides. Had two shops back to back leave me with a mess and frustration to fix on a 2005 Chevy 3500 Duramax turbo replacement til I found this place. Gave them as much info as possible to help gain a full picture of the status of the vehicle, and handed them the keys. First, they stunned me with volunteering to pay for a ride to the car rental lot. Next, sent a very thorough vehicle report and delivered a clear phone call with recommendations, further diagnosing some things I had not been able to and helping me understand the process. Got everything back in short order and hit the road. I am genuinely happy with the services rendered here and am reporting on a healthy truck that has handled considerable miles and grades across the country since. The Hale's are educated professionals at running their business, and their mechanic at his trade here. I also received a follow-up phone call checking to make sure things were going well. Thanks again.

This place is every diesle guys dream shop, fast and transparent customer service and they send you photos of what the tech is looking at so that their is NO misunderstanding of what they are looking at, I haven't had a single question or issue they haven't said they wouldn't try to fix or can't fix, I'll take every truck I have to them simply because of their skilled technicians and their openness to explanation and the tech was thorough looking through the truck, ex: I only brought the truck in for a fuel system install and to simply get it running and they found out my tanks were rusted on the inside, and also found out while the technician was doing his multiple check he found my intake for my turbo was cracked open and my turbo had bent blades 10/10 will come back again

Needed a 100k checkup on my Duramax. They got me in and out in reasonable time and at a fair price. Went over the entire truck and let me know what needed fixing. Gave me option to approve recommended repairs. Would definitely go back.

🛑(!!!! MUST READ!!!!)🛑 I've got to admit that i was skeptical only because the experience i had with the last diesel shop prior to Hale's but to be completely honest they took away any doubt i had when they ran it down to me on how they work (procedures). They just didn't talk about it , they stood by it, complete honesty and transparency, walked me through everything i needed done and only charged me for what i got done, no miscellaneous charges. Their system they give you access to on the final diagnostic of your vehicle before any approvals by you is outstanding/magnificent, easy to understand .HANDS DOWN if you want good work but not only good work honest individuals- transparency through the process these are your guys, from a shop managers perspective who deals with a lot of fleet and third parties i promise you, you will not regret your decision with them.🫡

Well, where to begin. We all work in WTX for a reason, and we put some pretty heavy wear and tear on our trucks. Some trust the 5 minute lube guys, or the truck house. End of the day I don't. I was pointed in Hale's direction and will NEVER search for another crew. They gave me my twice look over and showed me what they saw, was wrong, was possibly going to go wrong, what level of seriousness. They worked with me, we talked pros and cons. They made some valid points even if i didn't want to hear them, because i know they are right! Got my truck back, clean, Quality Checked, bottle of water the works. So excited to get the truck back. The next day, alas, i had a small problem. The owner reached out to me, the service writer reached out, mind you this was before the sun even came out. They got me lined up with a tow from my house to the shop. Put me front of the line. They made sure i had transportation to and from everything i needed. Offered a truck to use if i needed. Had my truck up and running 24hrs later. The truck back to full life, shining and sparkly and roaring strong. I CANNOT say anything bad, they took initiative, they were calm and cool not pressuring me into anything. Small hiccup that could have changed the course of my feelings (probably not though, because things happen) At the end of the day in WTX where Service Quality and Customer service are severely lacking in every industry. Jason, Jesse and that team went above and beyond! They got me hooked and i won't accept any service less than what they produced in West Texas! Thanks again Hale's Team

9/3/2025 2 star review edit to 5 stars: based on my original review below the owner reached out to me directly. He informed me that I was in fact incorrectly charged and refunded the difference. An employee that has been with them <2 months made a mistake. This is a sign of a business a that cares and makes things right. Mistakes get made. Businesses/people deserve the chance to make it right. I would now go back to Hale's and would recommend them! Original review: $620 diagnostic fee - marked down from what was $781. for a 3/4 ton diesel. No work completed. diagnostic. I told Hale's I suspected a water pump leak and they confirmed the leak AND also recommended an oil pan gasket and power steering line replacement, which I appreciated. Future issues! It's just a little hard to get over their diagnostic fee. I called three friends after leaving Hale's (two of them, service writers for shops in Midland and the other a diesel mechanic in Snyder) to ask if they had ever heard of such an outrageous diagnostic fee for a diesel truck - they all said, "No." I will, however, add, I did not ask what the diagnostic fee was before handing over my keys so I accept responsibility for the outcome. But becsuse Google reviews led me to giving Hale's a try and not personal recommendation, I feel obligated to share my experience. There is also a 3% fee for using plastic to pay here. Not a huge deal but good to know before going. Just wanted to give others something to consider.

Owner personally went to pick me up in his personal truck so I wouldn't have to waste money on a taxi . They diagnose your vehicle and give you the option to approve whatever repairs you want to get done. When I picked up my truck after repair was done I had a cold Gatorade and water in the center council. They vacuumed truck and cleaned all the windows. Very impressed with their service. I'll definitely go back..

I don't write reviews- ever. But this time, a business deserves public praise. I work in the oil field like most people reading this review likely do as well. We all know finding a good, fair and quality diesel mechanic is like finding an honest attorney- impossible. For contexts sake I'll admit to you all that there were some honest mistakes made. Every step of the way Jason went above and beyond to right the wrongs and fix the issues with kindness and equity. He far exceeded any interaction I've ever had with a shop of any kind to ensure I was happy with the end product. Upon picking up my truck the final time he had sent an uber, washed my truck, left a water, swag and a gift that went far above any normal businesses practices in the truck. Not because he had to but because he is a man of honor and high reputation. Suffice it to say that Hales Automotive is that unicorn diesel shop. Driving from Arizona to Central TX and my DPF filter failed in my Ram 2500 here in Midland, not knowing where to take it I called Hale's Diesel and Auto Repair and I made the right choice, they took my truck in immediately diagnosed the issue, took the time to call around and found the part in Odessa, and had it fixed and ready to roll the very next day and met the dead line for me to be back on the road, you can't go wrong with them, they are honest and fair priced, knowledgeable and good people I would trust them for any repair on my truck in the future, thank you again for your hard work and willingness to get me back on the road!!!

I broke down in Midland Texas had a fuel leak. I found Hales Diesel repair shop fixed. My truck and if anybody has ever broke down in Midland, TX they know it's expensive . This young man could've took advantage of the situation and I would've paid it, but he was completely honest and humble, and if you ever in Midland, Texas with a broke down problem, find him he will get you back on the road. Currently having my semi repaired there so far, I am pleased with their professionalism, thoroughness and honesty I will follow up here when my repairs have been completed with my final assessment. Okay folks as I said here is my follow up review. First time ever in this shop. Just a quick backstory I've been in the Permian basin driving for around four years as an owner operator and have had to have several repairs done to my trucks in this time frame.After such poor service at several shops and Dealerships I am pleased to say that the employees at Hales Diesel and Auto Repair have restored my faith having to take my semi in for repairs. I went in looking to get some oil leaks fixed, possibly a head gasket and a hard start issue diagnosed. Turned out to be a cracked head and the block was badly pitted. We decided the best option was to do an out of frame overhaul. I know it was money well spent. I had to make many decisions throughout this process and was explained everything in great detail as to make an educated decision. This shop is the most professionally run and operated that I have seen. Their commitment to quality and honesty I would put up against anyone, any where, any time . Their knowledge, discipline, cleanliness of shop, professionalism, integrity, cost, I could keep going on and on but you get the idea. My review is a 10 ! I know 5 is all I can technically do here but they are worth a 10.
